The state government is planning to set up 20 new medical colleges, double the number of mobile health clinics in the state, and increase scholarships for students. The Himachal Pradesh Cabinet on 16 February 2023 approved the guidelines for ‘Mukhya Mantri Sukh-Ashray Yojana’ that covers orphans, specially abled children, destitute women, and senior citizens.
