Street food in Adelaide

When you think of great cities for street food, you probably think of London and New York.

But how about Adelaide? The southern Australian city has a thriving and strong culture of fare from those who have set up shop with little more than a battered umbrella to protect them from the elements.

Adelaide is famed for its open spaces and lush green parks but there are some wonderful secret spots that hide amazing hidden gems

The first thing anyone visiting the South Australian capital wants to do is tick off all the tourist hotspots – the Adelaide Oval, museums and art galleries. But there’s a lot more to the city than meets the eye.

There are some wonderful secret spots that hide amazing hidden gems – like these five quirky cafes

1)Teatime Collective

The Teatime Collective may not look like much but it has flavours to match its decor

First opened in 2012, The Teatime Collective opened as an event space for designer Ron Clark. When he found himself with extra time on his hands (and fingers), he decided to start baking bread. With only one sourdough starter left over from his days as a chef at Dukes Hotel, he began work on what was to become Adelaide’s most unique bakery.
